Brief
Design book jackets for the New Penguin Shakespeare series. Only two colours may be used on each book jacket. One of the book jackets may use an image.

Description
Colours were chosen to convey the mood for the particular play. A simple template was made so that the series had consistency.

 

A different typographic treatment was given to each of the play. For example: Othello has themes of craziness and this is represented with the type in the background. The words 'Romeo' and 'Juliet' are connected etc.
