Brief:

Design five book jackets for the New Penguin Shakespeare series. Only two colours may be used on each book jacket. The lengths of the titles must vary. One of the five book jackets may use an image.

Description:

Colours were chosen to convey the mood for the particular play. A simple template was made so that the series had consistency. A different typographic treatment was given to each of the plays, for example: Othello is amongst other things, about craziness and this is represented with the type in the background. The words 'Romeo' and 'Juliet' are connected etc.

Two-tone book jackets.
